The initial response from Norm's veterans as to a return to the team for the 2006 season was lukewarm at best. Nobody out and out committed themselves to the cause, but veterans Mike Eckert, Kurt Clark, Dave Heupel, Marcus Anderson and Bruce Werner all left their options open. Keith Willaert and Todd Schneiderhan did not indicate a preference at all, and Sean Conway all but ruled out a return, citing previous committments to other teams.
This does not rule out a merger, but the Norm's front-office has told Head Coach Brent Anderson to recruit a full roster for 2006 of up to 10 players. If more committment from veterans can be obtained, this status will change all players will be notified.
