Losing Sucks, but it's how you lose that defines your team's character. A 12-1 ass kicking is not a good way to lose. Not at all!
After last nights disappointing loss, the Norms quest for an undefeated season came to a screeching hault and filled the squad ego full of pity and doubt. The game details will be posted later, but there are a couple things that bug me about the way this loss evolved
Here comes the rant:
1. If you say you will be at the game, show the f**k up at the game. Nothing worse then leaving your team hanging.
2. If you know you are playing, make arrangements to get your ass the park on time. Believe me, we have plenty of guys who want to play, but are afraid that they are taking someone's spot. Just give us the chance to contact them.
3. If you do by some miracle, manage to remember how to read the schedule, and note where the game is played, and have committed to showing up, then when you do take the field, FRICKING PLAY THE GAME! Ditch the skirt at home, or hike it up, and take the field and play.
4. One Run? One Fricking Run? Girls, this is slow pitch softball. There is no excuse for scoring just one run. Face facts, your heads where in your ass last night, and the last place you wanted to be was on Field #7 at Northview Field. This is not how champions survive. The dog games, the boring ones, the rainy crappy weather games where rotweilers are barking, and kids are crying, and dumbass forgot the beer, those are the games that still count in the standings.
We cannot afford to have too many more of those type of losses. I can handle losing, but last night was the WORST sofball game I have seen played by a team with the Norms jerseys on in years.
I hope you all hit your slumpbuster hang-out last night to shake the willies out your bats, because next week, there needs to be some more focus on the field.
We got some good wins in the bank, but that can soon be frittered away if you keep playing like last night.
I am just sayin...
Godfather, OUT
