Mookie returns, Norms rally for win.

In the much anticipated return of Mookie, the Norms didnt give him much support - until late in the game. Aside from a botched pop-up, Mook looked like he never missed a day, letalone 2 entire years. The slimmed down, Norms Hall of Famer gave up 6 runs (3 earned at my count) and kept the Caspers hitters at bay in a very impressive complete game 7-6 comeback victory.

The Norms trailed 6-1 in the fourth when Kelly Knutsen laced a two out double to cut the lead in half. The 6-3 deficit carried into the top of the 6th. Brent Anderson legged out a potential inning ending double play and Aaron Wright and Jay Gregerson completed the comeback with consecutive run scoring singles and a 7-6 Norms lead. Mookie and the D did the rest and the slimmest of leads was never threatened. A solid bottom of the 6th was followed with a routine 1-2-3 7th and the Norms had their 2nd victory of the season and Mook had his first win in over 2 yrs.

The Norms (2-0-1) are back at it on May 17th, with a doubleheader against the Celts (0-3) at 6pm and Gabriel Financial (3-0) at 7pm at Lexington Diffley Fields
